Noble Network Promotion and Graduation Requirements

Butler College Prep offers a rigorous curriculum and holds high expectations of each of our Leaders.  Leaders must meet specific academic, enrichment, community service, physical fitness, and discipline requirements to be promoted to the next grade level or to graduate.        

Academics: To be promoted to the next grade level or to graduate, students must earn the credits from every class in which they are enrolled during the regular school year.

**Course Failures: Any Leader who fails a class will be expected to enroll in make-up class(s) to earn back the credits and stay on track for promotion.  Any Leader failing class(s) at the end of semester one will be expected to take them in night school during semester two. If a Leader fails class(es) during the second semester, they will be expected to make the class(s) up in a summer school program approved by the Administration.

Enrichment: Noble works to develop well-rounded students through participation in enrichment, community service and college exploration.

Each year students must complete 0.25 credits (25 hours) to be promoted to the next grade level and must have 1.0 credits (100 hours) to graduate.

Community Service: Students must pass the community service requirement as outlined in the community service syllabus.

Physical Fitness: Students must pass the physical fitness test and health test to be promoted to the next grade level and to graduate.

Discipline: Any student who accumulates more than the maximum allowable number of detentions, or more than 20 days of suspension in any one year will not be promoted to the next grade or graduate. If a student exceeds the maximum number of allowable detentions for a year, that student will be required to take summer behavior class in order to be promoted/graduate. The maximum number of allowable detentions in a school year for all grades is 12.
